Band 9 170 words
The diagram illustrates the process by which used plastic bottles are recycled and turned into new products.
Overall, the process consists of eight stages, beginning with the collection of used bottles from households and ending with the manufacture of new goods. It is a continuous cycle, since the new products can themselves eventually be recycled.
At the first stage, used bottles are collected from people’s homes and taken to a recycling plant. There, they are sorted according to the type of plastic and their colour. Once sorted, the bottles are washed thoroughly to remove labels and any remaining dirt, after which they are crushed and cut into small flakes.
In the next stage, these flakes are melted at a very high temperature, and the molten plastic is then formed into small pellets. Following this, the pellets are sold to manufacturers, who finally use them to make a range of new products. These items can be collected and recycled again once they have been used, so the cycle begins once more.

Band 9 278 words
Online shopping has grown dramatically over the past decade, and in many countries a large share of goods are now bought through websites and mobile apps rather than in shops. This shift has several causes, and in my view it is largely a positive development, although it brings some costs.
The most obvious reason for the trend is convenience. Customers can browse thousands of products at any time of day, compare prices instantly and have their purchases delivered to their door, saving the time and effort of travelling to crowded markets. Online prices are also often lower, because retailers do not have to pay for expensive shop premises. Furthermore, the spread of smartphones and digital payment services, such as mobile banking in Bangladesh, has made buying online easy even for people who have never owned a computer.
On balance, I believe this is a positive change. Online shopping gives people in small towns and villages access to the same range of goods as city dwellers, and it allows small producers, such as rural craftspeople, to reach customers across the country without opening a shop. It also saves consumers considerable time. Admittedly, there are drawbacks: traditional shops may lose business, and the growth in deliveries increases traffic and packaging waste. However, these problems can be reduced through sensible regulation and recycling, and many shops are now adapting by selling online themselves.
In conclusion, people increasingly shop online because it is convenient, often cheaper and made easy by modern technology. Despite some negative effects on local shops and the environment, I consider this development beneficial overall, as it widens choice and creates new opportunities for both consumers and small businesses.
Band 7 258 words
Nowadays, many people prefer to buy things online instead of going to shops. In this essay, I will explain why this is happening and whether it is a positive or negative development.
There are several reasons why people shop online. Firstly, it is very convenient. People can buy things at any time, day or night, and the products are delivered to their home, so they do not need to travel or wait in long queues. Secondly, online shopping is often cheaper, because online companies do not need to pay rent for a shop. Thirdly, most people now have smartphones and use mobile banking, like bKash in Bangladesh, so it is very easy to pay online. Finally, people can read reviews from other customers before they buy, so they feel more confident.
In my opinion, this is mostly a positive development. People who live in villages can buy the same products as people in cities. Also, small businesses can sell their products all over the country using the internet, without paying for a shop. However, there are also some problems. For example, some traditional shops lose customers and may have to close, and more delivery vans cause more traffic and pollution. There is also more packaging waste, because every product is wrapped in plastic and boxes. The government should make rules to reduce this waste.
In conclusion, people shop online because it is convenient, cheap and easy. Although there are some disadvantages, I think it is a positive development because it gives people more choice and helps small businesses.
Band 5–6 197 words
Now a days many people buy the thing online and not go to the shop. I will tell why it happen and it is positive or negative.
There is many reason for this. First it is very easy, people can buy any time and the product come to the home, so they not need to go market. Second the online is more cheap because company not pay rent for shop. Third everybody have smartphone and bKash now so payment is very easy. Also people can see the review of other customer before they buy the thing.
In my opinion it is positive. People in village can buy same thing like city people. Also small business can sell the product in all country by internet. But there is some problem also. Some shop lose the customer and they close. And the delivery car make more traffic and pollution. Also there is many packet and plastic waste and it is bad for the environment of the country.
In conclusion people buy online because it is easy and cheap. It have some problem but i think it is positive because people get more choice and small business get more customer.
