Band 9 184 words
The diagram illustrates the various stages involved in recycling used glass so that it can be turned into new bottles. Overall, it is a cyclical process consisting of six main steps, beginning with the collection of waste glass and ending with the delivery of new bottles to shops.
At the first stage, used glass items are collected, usually from household recycling bins. Once gathered, the glass is transported to a plant, where it is carefully sorted according to its colour.
Following this, the sorted glass is thoroughly washed to remove any labels and dirt, and it is then crushed into small fragments known as ‘cullet’. In the next, crucial stage, this cullet is fed into a furnace and melted at an extremely high temperature until it becomes a thick liquid.
The molten glass is subsequently poured into moulds, where it is shaped into brand-new bottles. Finally, these bottles are delivered to shops to be filled and sold once again, at which point the entire cycle can begin anew.
Band 7 152 words
The diagram shows how used glass is recycled and made into new bottles. Overall, there are six stages in the process, and it is a cycle that repeats again and again.
First, used glass is collected from recycling bins. After that, the glass is taken to a recycling centre, and it is sorted by its colour. Then the glass is washed to remove the labels and dirt, and it is crushed into small pieces called cullet.
Next, the cullet is put into a furnace and it is melted at a very high temperature until it becomes liquid. After the glass is melted, it is put into moulds and shaped into new bottles. Finally, the new bottles are sent to shops, where they can be used again. Then the whole process starts again from the beginning.
Band 5–6 132 words
The diagram is about how the glass is recycle to make new bottle. There are six step in the process and it is a cycle.
First the used glass is collect from the bin. Then it go to the recycling center and it is sort by the colour. After that the glass is wash and crush into small piece called cullet.
Next the cullet put in a furnace and it melt in high temperature and become liquid. Then the liquid glass go in the mould and become new bottle. Finally the bottle is send to the shop and people use it again. And the process start again.

Band 9 288 words
In recent decades, average life expectancy has risen dramatically in most parts of the world, and it is now common for people to live well into their eighties. This essay will consider why people are living longer and then examine the effects this has on society.
There are two principal reasons for our increased lifespan. The most important is the remarkable progress made in medicine. Diseases that were once fatal, such as many infections, can now be prevented by vaccines or cured with modern drugs, while advances in surgery allow doctors to treat conditions that would previously have been untreatable. A second reason is the general improvement in living standards. Compared with a century ago, most people today enjoy cleaner water, better nutrition and safer working conditions, all of which help the body to stay healthy for longer.
This trend has significant effects on society, both positive and negative. On the positive side, older people are a valuable resource: many continue to work, volunteer or care for their grandchildren, passing on their experience to younger generations. On the other hand, an ageing population places a heavy strain on public services. Governments must spend far more on healthcare and pensions, and with fewer young workers to support a growing number of retired people, this financial burden can be difficult to sustain.
In conclusion, people are living longer mainly because of medical progress and higher living standards. Although this brings clear benefits, it also creates serious challenges, particularly for a country’s health and pension systems, which must adapt in order to cope.
Band 7 256 words
These days, people all over the world are living much longer than in the past. In this essay, I will look at the reasons for this and the effects it has on society.
There are two main reasons why people live longer now. The first reason is the big improvement in medicine. In the past, many diseases were very dangerous, but now we have vaccines and modern medicines, so doctors can prevent or cure them. Also, surgery is much better than before. The second reason is that people have a better lifestyle. Nowadays, most people have clean water, good food and safer jobs, so their health is better and they live longer.
This trend has both good and bad effects on society. On the good side, old people are very useful. Many of them still work or help their families, for example by looking after their grandchildren, and they share their experience with young people. However, there are also some problems. When there are many old people, the government has to spend a lot of money on hospitals and pensions. Also, there are fewer young workers to support them, so this can be difficult for the country.
In conclusion, people are living longer mainly because of better medicine and a better lifestyle. This brings some benefits, but it also creates problems, especially for the health system and pensions, which the government must solve.
Band 5–6 221 words
Now a days the people in the world is living longer than the past. In this essay i will write the reason of this and also the effect on the society.
There is two main reason why people live longer. First reason is the medicine become very good. In the past many disease is very dangerous but now we have vaccine and medicine, so the doctor can cure it. Also the surgery is better than before. Second reason is the people have better life. Now most people have clean water, good food and safe job, so their health is good and they live long.
This thing have good effect and bad effect on the society. The good effect is the old people is very useful, many of them still do work or help the family like take care the grandchildren. But there is also bad effect. When there is many old people the government have to spend much money for hospital and pension. Also there is less young worker so it is difficult for the country.
In conclusion, people live longer because of good medicine and good life. It have some benefit but also some problem, specially for the health and pension. The government must solve this problem.
