How to Use This Worksheet (এই ওয়ার্কশিট কীভাবে করবেন)
This is where you apply the Band 6 → 7/8 upgrade. Try each item before you look at the answer. Write your version, then click "Show a model answer" to compare. The models are just one good version — yours may be equally good.

Aim for three changes in every rewrite: (1) upgrade one or two weak words, (2) fix or add a strong collocation, (3) tighten the grammar. Don't change everything — keep it natural.
প্রতিটি rewrite-এ তিনটি পরিবর্তন করুন: (১) দুর্বল শব্দ আপগ্রেড, (২) শক্ত collocation, (৩) ব্যাকরণ পরিষ্কার। সব বদলাবেন না — স্বাভাবিক রাখুন।

Exercise A — Rewrite at Band 7 (১০টি বাক্য নতুন করে লিখুন)
Rewrite each Band-5 sentence at Band 7. Keep the meaning; upgrade the language. প্রতিটি Band-5 বাক্য Band 7-এ লিখুন। অর্থ রাখুন; ভাষা আপগ্রেড করুন।

Exercise B — Fix the Collocation (collocation ঠিক করুন)
Each sentence has ONE wrong collocation. Find it and correct it. প্রতিটি বাক্যে একটি ভুল collocation আছে — খুঁজে ঠিক করুন।

After each rewrite, run this quick checklist. If you can tick most boxes, you are writing at Band 7. প্রতিটি rewrite-এর পর এই তালিকা মিলিয়ে নিন। বেশির ভাগ টিক দিতে পারলে আপনি Band 7-এ লিখছেন।
- I upgraded at least one or two weak words (not every word). ১–২টি দুর্বল শব্দ আপগ্রেড করেছি।
- I used a correct, natural collocation (e.g., pose a problem, take action). সঠিক collocation ব্যবহার করেছি।
- Every upgraded word is one I am sure about — no thesaurus guesses. প্রতিটি শব্দ নিশ্চিত জানি।
- The register fits: idioms in Speaking, formal words in Writing. register মানানসই।
- The grammar is tight — I linked ideas with since, while, which, before. ব্যাকরণ পরিষ্কার।
- The sentence still sounds natural — I did not "pile up" fancy words. স্বাভাবিক শোনায়।
- The meaning is exactly the same as the original. অর্থ একই আছে।
Remember: the models here are not the "only" answers. In the real test, a Band 7 answer is one that is accurate, natural and flexible — not the one with the rarest words.
মনে রাখুন: এই মডেলই একমাত্র উত্তর নয়। Band 7 উত্তর হলো নির্ভুল, স্বাভাবিক ও নমনীয় — বিরলতম শব্দের নয়।
