Personal Introduction Not Scored
Read the prompt, then record your introduction.
1 · Read Aloud
Prepare, then read the text aloud clearly and naturally.
Trap: the scoring engine checks every word — skipping or mispronouncing one costs both Reading and Speaking marks.
2 · Repeat Sentence
Listen once, then immediately repeat the sentence exactly.
Show the sentence (after you try)
"The orientation session for international students will begin at nine o'clock sharp."
3 · Describe Image
Prepare, then describe the chart in your own words.
Trap: highlight the surprising comparison — social media time is almost as high as class time — instead of simply listing every bar.
4 · Retell Lecture
Listen to the lecture (taking notes if you like), then retell its key points.

"Today we're going to discuss how coral reefs are formed and why they matter. Coral reefs are built by tiny animals called polyps, which take calcium from seawater and use it to build hard skeletons of calcium carbonate. When polyps die, their skeletons remain, and new polyps grow on top of them, so over thousands of years, enormous reef structures are formed. Although reefs cover less than one per cent of the ocean floor, they support around a quarter of all marine species. They also protect coastlines by breaking the force of waves, and they provide food and income for hundreds of millions of people through fishing and tourism. However, warming seas, pollution and overfishing are damaging reefs worldwide, which is why many countries have created marine protected areas."
5 · Answer Short Question
Listen to the question, then answer with a single word or short phrase.
Show expected answer (after you try)
"Honey." — one word is enough.
6 · Summarize Group Discussion
Listen to the discussion, then give a spoken summary covering both viewpoints.

Speaker A: "I think schools should replace printed textbooks with tablets, because digital books are cheaper to update and much lighter for students to carry."
Speaker B: "Tablets have advantages, but some research suggests people understand long texts better on paper, and screens can distract students with games and messages."
Speaker A: "That's possible, but teachers could limit apps on school tablets, and interactive content like videos can make difficult topics easier to understand."
Speaker B: "Maybe, but tablets also need charging, repairs and internet access, which could be a real problem for schools with limited budgets."
Moderator: "So one speaker favours tablets for cost, convenience and interactive learning, while the other raises concerns about comprehension, distraction and practical costs."
Trap: mention at least two different viewpoints — not just one speaker's opinion.
7 · Respond to a Situation
Prepare, then speak an appropriate response to the situation.
Trap: give the booking details first (name, time, original number), then state the change clearly and thank them — keep it short and polite.
8 · Summarize Written Text
Read the passage, then write a one-sentence summary (5-75 words) in 10 minutes.
📖 Show a model one-sentence summary
Streaming has helped music revenues recover after illegal downloading and given listeners great choice, but because it pays most artists very little, many rely on concerts and fans, and some economists propose reforming how fees are shared.

"Traffic congestion wastes time, harms health and damages economies in cities around the world. Although building new roads may appear to be a direct solution, I believe that investing in public transport offers a far more effective and lasting answer.
Supporters of road construction argue that congestion is simply a result of insufficient capacity. Wider roads, flyovers and ring roads can allow more vehicles to move at once and may reduce journey times, at least in the short term. In rapidly growing cities, roads are also essential for freight, emergency services and areas that public transport does not yet reach.
However, transport researchers have repeatedly observed a phenomenon known as induced demand: when new roads are built, more people choose to drive, and within a few years the roads become congested again. By contrast, an efficient metro or bus rapid transit line can carry many times more passengers than a traffic lane, using less space and producing fewer emissions. The opening of Dhaka's metro rail, for example, has given thousands of commuters a faster and more predictable alternative to sitting in traffic.
In conclusion, while some road improvements will always be necessary, cities should prioritise reliable, affordable public transport. Only by giving people genuine alternatives to private cars can congestion be reduced in the long term."

"Traffic jam is a big problem in many cities like Dhaka. Some people think government should build more roads and flyovers because more cars can move. Other people think public transport like metro and buses is better because it can carry many people together. I think public transport is better because new roads also become full of cars after some time. Government should spend more money on metro."
মধ্যম: দুই দিক ও উদাহরণ আছে, তবে বিস্তার কম এবং সরল বাক্য।
"Traffic is very bad problem. More road is good. Bus and metro also good. I think metro is best because fast. Government must do something."
